Since Personal News is still accessible from the Opera menu, you can effectively neuter its ability to pump out fresh feed with a brief visit to the Settings panel. That hides the Personal News icon from view. To do that, right-click the Sidebar, and then uncheck the option labeled Personal News. Its readily accessible nature via the Sidebar means you’ve got to get rid of it ASAP. It functions akin to an RSS reader, and displays a continuous stream of articles from various sources online.
